Reading/Math/ Science/ Social Studies Resources:
In reading, we just finished reading nonfiction text. The next unit we will be focusing on is Poetry.
To help students continue to practice their reading, please have them read and write about what they read daily.
Students may read using Kids A-Z site to read books on their current reading levels.

I have sent logins through Class Dojo.

Another great resource that the kids love to read and do research on is https://www.pebblego.com/
Students can read and learn about science and social studies standards here, including animals and their habitats (we just ended this unit in science).

Life Cycles of animals and plants will be coming up. To observe the life cycle of a chicken, you can view Sudley's eggs on:
https://sudleyes.pwcs.edu/library/chickens

In math, we just had started reviewing place value, word form, expanded form, 10 more, 10 less, 100 more, 100 less. Students can continue to practice making 3-digit numbers (ex. 475) and draw it out using place value model, word form, expanded form, 10 more, 10 less, 100 more , and 100 less of their number. This was being done daily and should be a review for the students.

We will be reviewing adding and subtracting with double digits (43-31=____).  Adding and subtracting with regrouping will be new in this upcoming unit (35+56=___).
IXL is a great website to practice reviewing 2nd grade standards taught throughout this year.
