Parents
I
hope all is well with your family. Below are several suggestions and resources to continue learning and reviewing at home. You can use the reading questions I sent home in the last report card and have them write about what they are reading.

Reading/Research/Social Studies/Science:

On Pebble Go your child can research another animal just like we did in class or continue learning about and reviewing continents, maps and countries. You could also have them read about the various habitats since we will be discussing habitats in our next unit.

Life Cycles of animals and plants will be coming up. To observe the life cycle of a chicken, you can view Sudley's eggs on:

Math:

Here are several skills we have done in class that you can have them practice at home:
1. Skip counting by 2's, 5's and 10's backwards and forwards up to 120
2. Identifying the ones, tens and hundreds in any 3-digit number (345 has a 3 in the hundreds place, etc) and writing the number in word and expanded form (300+40+5)
3. Adding two-digit numbers
4. Finding 10 and 100  more  and less than in 2-digit or 3-digit number (10 more than 235 ... 100 less than 389)
        5. Compare numbers using < > or = (less than, more than and equal to)
         6. Counting coins up to $2.00

Reading and Math:

I-Station is a resource we use in the classroom and it can be used at home online for reading and math.  To get into I-Station follow the directions:

An exciting day making gingerbread houses!
